One year ago today, Triiibes – the community Seth Godin conjured up, was formed. It’s been indescribable being part of a community of people who are way smarter than me. It was even nicer to meet a fellow Triiiber in person the other day. Bernd was on his way back to Japan and we had a lovely conversation on an island in the middle of the Mississippi. More on that later. For now, Happy Birthday, Triiibes!

Hi Jannie – Triiibes is a private community created by Seth Godin in consort with his book by the same name. Lots of very smart people in there, but also spending time in there kept me from doing other stuff. It was cool to meet Bernd, though. I will ask him for the photo of us. Thanks!

Hi Bernd – And thank you for arranging your schedule, too. The time tends to fill when one is traveling so I really appreciate it. I too haven’t heard of Triibes. And I wouldn’t worry about the smarter thing, everyone is smarter than someone else in different fields and subjects (not to say you were worrying).
Have you ever used Ning? If you created a private Master Mind group would Triiibes be a good place to do that or would Ning be better (if you know)? Thanks.

Hi Internet Strategist – Welcome to PassingThru! Triiibes is a closed network that uses the Ning platform. I’m pretty familiar with Ning, although it does have a few annoying quirks. I’d say it’d be about as good as anything for what you propose. Thanks for stopping in and hope you stick around.
