Hi Betsy,

9/11 will be a date most people will long remember. Although it’s been 8 years, in many ways it seems like just yesterday. My heart and prayers continue to go out to those who lost loved ones in the attacks.

The scripture you chose for the video is perfect. It’s a great reminder to keep the faith and “let not our hearts be troubled”.

I didn't view the video because I want to avoid being retraumatized. Since I had lived in New York in the past and was living in the DC area when the attacks came, they affected me on two fronts. I'd celebrated my birthday at Windows on the World, the restaurant at the top of one of the Twin Towers. Thank you for the remembrance, video, and scripture.

Hats off to the brave firefighters and emergency responders that terrible day. Because of 9-11, I took EMT classes and joined the fire department as a volunteer for a couple years, wanting to be prepared and useful for natural, medical, or man-made emergencies and disasters. Thank goodness no more attacks have come … yet.
