Hi Betsy. Unbelievable scenery! Something inside me just silences when I look at these pictures. I can pretty much adapt to my surroundings… though traffic and wailing kids does pose a bit of a challenge. Excellent job on this post! Tuck me in and read me a story please….

LOL at the Jamaican woman’s comment. Mind you I’ve spoken to Texans in Florida in November who thought it was cold and I was lovely and warm.

Hi Lori – I agree, there is something so mesmerizing about staring into a campfire and sitting within its glowing circle with darkness all around, isn’t there? And then looking up and seeing all the stars you can’t see from the city! Thanks.

What a wonderful travel(bl)ogue! I felt your connection to the land ringing through your words.

I’ve can adapt to anywhere, but I do feel at home over a campfire in the deep woods, with any kind of water source in eye or earshot.

Hi Dot – Oh, yeah. I agree! I loved staring out to sea from my friend’s home on Southport Island (it’s near East Boothbay, ME). So many people love the shore, don’t they? Thank you.

Hi Bryan – Welcome to PassingThru! I’ll see you your bone-pickin’ and raise you a jawbone, eh? Although, if a trustafarian bartender was bemoaning the trustafarians would that make him a self-loather? Maybe they’ve all just moved on?

And we agree, people are so kind and welcoming. We attended a Vikings game – they were playing Ely and whupped them good – and realized outside the gate after a loooonnng walk from the car that we hadn’t enough cash to get in. Pathetic, right? We never carry cash. Anyway, four or five people, total strangers, stopped and offered to pay our way in as we set off for the ATM. There is nothing like a small town. Especially yours.
