If you’re a frequent traveler, you already know that holiday insurance is an absolute must as part of your travel preparations.

Even if you’re just planning a short break away, there are many different eventualities that could crop up and spoil your holiday. Worse, some of these scenarios can be so serious that they could cost you a small fortune if you don’t already have a sufficient level of travel insurance in place. Imagine if something happens before your trip and you need to cancel your holiday. Can you afford to lose the deposit, or more? What happens if you miss your flight – do you have the reserves to book another departure?

A good level of travel insurance should offer protection against these mishaps. But even worse than this is the possibility of things going wrong when you’re actually abroad. For instance, if you fall ill or have an accident, it can be extremely expensive to receive medical attention abroad, especially where ambulances or specialist services such as mountain rescue are required. Furthermore, are you covered in the event that you accidentally hurt someone else, or damage their possessions?

There are so many scenarios to consider. As opposed to scaremongering, these possibilities should all be financially protected with a good level of travel insurance cover – and it just goes to show how important it really is. Frequent travelers can opt for annual travel insurance which is generally the most cost-effective way to book insurance. Annual insurance provides cover for a set period of time, usually for 12 months, and ensures that all of your standard holidays are included in that time-frame.

Other forms include single trip insurance for one-off holidays, and you can also tailor your cover with add-ons like cruise or winter sports insurance. The upshot is, whatever you do and wherever you’re going, don’t scrimp on travel insurance. It’s much better to travel protected because you’ll be able to enjoy peace of mind, and you’ll be well covered should the unthinkable happen.

Tips for Trip Success

Book Your Flight
Find an inexpensive flight by using Kayak, a favorite of ours because it regularly returns less expensive flight options from a variety of airlines.

Book Your Hotel or Special Accommodation
We are big fans of Booking.com. We like their review system and photos. If we want to see more reviews and additional booking options, we go to Expedia.

You Need Travel Insurance!
Good travel insurance means having total peace of mind. Travel insurance protects you when your medical insurance often will not and better than what you get from your credit card. It will provide comprehensive coverage should you need medical treatment or return to the United States, compensation for trip interruption, baggage loss, and other situations.Find the Perfect Insurance Plan for Your Tripimage 9133145 14418597
