This is a guest post by Catherine Lavinia. If you’ve never sailed with Carnival Cruises before, there are plenty of reasons to get acquainted with this luxury cruise brand.
As the largest cruise line in the world, specializing in cruise itineraries around the Caribbean and the Americas, there aren’t many exotic places you can’t visit with Carnival Cruises. They’ve got a whole range of cruise holidays from three nights upwards, taking in such stunning hotspots as the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii and the Panama Canal.
With Carnival it’s as much about exploring fabulous, exotic locations as it is about enjoying the onboard cruise experience. Let’s take a look at the Carnival Conquest for instance. This huge ship is like a floating village, packed with fun things to see and do. There’s a nightclub, show lounges with great West End-style acts, a comedy club, and plenty of bars and restaurants.
The Carnival Conquest is home to the fabulous Seaside Theatre which hosts great entertainment in the form of movies, live music and sporting events. If you’re looking to chill out a little, head to the Sun Deck for a 9-hole mini golf course, or simply stretch out under those delicious cloudless blue skies and soak up some sun.
As cuisine goes, the Conquest is home to a whole world of different tastes and flavors. There’s Manhattan chic and hearty menus in the Point Steakhouse, beautifully decorated Renoir and Monet themed dining rooms, and more informal buffet style eateries such as the Cezanne Restaurant.
And as for kids, they’re well catered for with Carnival Cruises. On the Conquest, they can splash to their heart’s content on the Twister Waterslide, or enjoy non-stop fun with one of the ship’s excellent kids’ clubs or childcare teams. Older kids will love the cool hangout of Club O2 – a trendy place with music, video games and great food.
But don’t just take our word for it. You’ll online by booking direct, or by searching for cruises through tour operators like Thomas Cook. So why not book a Carnival Cruise and find out for yourself?

Tips for Trip Success
Book Your Flight
Find an inexpensive flight by using CheapOAir, a favorite of ours because it regularly returns less expensive flight options from a variety of airlines.
Book Your Hotel or Special Accommodation
We are big fans of Booking.com. We like their review system and photos. If we want to see more reviews and additional booking options, we go to TripAdvisor.
You Need Travel Insurance!
Good travel insurance means having total peace of mind. Travel insurance protects you when your medical insurance often will not and better than what you get from your credit card. It will provide comprehensive coverage should you need medical treatment or return to the United States, compensation for trip interruption, baggage loss, and other situations.
