Our office window looks across the river valley. Beyond the jungle, we see the mountains against the sky.
When we open the office door to go downstairs, we see the beautiful green mountain behind us. It always makes me think of “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills…”
We always hear the river – roaring and rushing, or bubbling and trickling – but cannot see it, 100 feet away, because the jungle is so dense.
We get rained on, hard, and laugh because the sun shines at the same time.
We get excited driving down our road toward the sea, anticipating which colors it will choose to be today.
We live in what some people would consider very primitive circumstances (although there are many here who have far fewer conveniences), yet I feel we bask in luxury.
It is all amazing.
