Nearly three weeks after a fire destroyed Lahaina, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, Sen. Brian Schatz, the Hawaii Visitors Bureau and others are letting people know that Maui still needs visitors — just avoid the parts devastated by the fires.
Maui is still open, and it's the perfect time to travel and help their economy recover. Here are a few areas we know are open and ready for you.
The west shore was the area affected so you can easily travel to the north shore. We have listed some amazing hotels and activities for the north shore.
We recommend you check with the hotels we have listed below to make sure they are running at full capacity but think about taking a vacation to Maui. The governor just asks that tourists stay away from areas affected by the fires.
