I Went to Biloxi for the Casinos—Here’s What Really Stood Out

Biloxi, Mississippi wasn’t on my radar—until it was. A spontaneous trip to the coast in search of casino wins turned into an unexpectedly charming day filled with delicious food, scenic walks, and a coastal breeze that made every gamble feel worth it.

Arriving in Biloxi, I began taking in the sights and searched for breakfast. I chose The Toasted Yolk, drawn by its lack of a crowd and catchy name.

The Golden Gate omelet—stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, and feta—was a highlight. If I’d come just for that omelet, the trip would still be worth it.

Biloxi’s casinos were my main attraction, so I researched the options ahead of time. I planned to visit Beau Rivage, Hard Rock, and Golden Nugget, aiming to minimize my risk. I’d feel out each place, play a few games, and move on if the vibe wasn’t right.

Fellow traveler tip: Research casinos in advance to match your gaming preferences.

Beau Rivage was my first stop, but it was short-lived. Next, I tried Hard Rock, where I had better luck. I didn’t win big, but I had fun and didn’t lose much. After an eventful morning, I needed a recharge.

Biloxi’s white sandy beaches offer the perfect escape. Walking the shoreline, I enjoyed the Gulf Coast’s beauty, feeling the warm sand and listening to the waves.
