To see what your audience analytics is like, go to your Instagram insights, scroll down to followers and tap on it.
You will get an overview of your follower’s growth and audience demographic for the last 90 days.
- Follower growth: You can see what type of content increases your following. This metric will also tell you the number of unfollows.

- Top 5 Locations (i.e Cities and Countries)

From your Insights, scroll down to Content You Shared, then tap on the right arrow next to your number of posts. All your feed posts (All, Photos, Videos and Carousel posts) based on your chosen metric will appear.
The feed post metrics include:

- Get Directions Taps
- Post Interactions
- Profile Visits

- Video Views
- Website Taps
To get more detailed analytics for any single Instagram post, tap the View Insights link directly under the post in your feed.
A section will appear revealing the metrics of the post. You will see the total likes, comments, saves, direct message shares, Interactions (profile visits and website clicks), Discovery (Accounts reached and Instagram follows) and Impressions.
3. Instagram Story Analytics
Your Instagram story analytics will also show you the type of story content your audience likes.
Again, from your Insights, scroll down to Content You Shared, then tap on the right arrow next to your number of stories.
A number of metrics for stories posted in the last 90 days will appear. Some of these Instagram stories metrics are:

- Profile Visits
- Reach etc.
Another way to check your Instagram story analytics is by swiping up on a live story. Tap on the Insights button. You will see metrics such as:

4. Instagram Live Analytics
The IG Live feature is a great option for building a community and brand awareness.
To see if your IG Live is doing what you want it to, go to your Insights, scroll down to Live and tap the right arrow next to your number of streams.

5. Instagram Reels Analytics
Instagram recently introduced Reels analytics in Insights. Reels have more engagement rate than other video formats, so if you are trying out reels, reels analytics will come in handy.
To access Reels analytics, tap the right arrow next to Accounts Reached in Instagram insights.
Instagram Reels Metrics include:
- Reel interactions
You will see your Instagram Reels performance compared to other content formats from the last 7 or 30 days. This section also shows your top-ranking reels.
To assess the performance of a specific Reel, go to your feed and open the Reel. Tap the three-dot icon in the bottom right of the screen, then tap Insights.
6. Instagram Shopping Analytics
To see how well your shoppable posts are doing:
Go to Insights, scroll down to “Content You Shared,” and tap on the arrow next to your shoppable posts or stories. You can then sort your shoppable posts and stories by product-specific metrics such as:
- Product views: the number of times a user tapped the product tag to view the product page on your post or story.
- Product button clicks: The number of times people visited a product page from a post and then tapped the button on the product page.
- Website clicks: the number of times users clicked on your website link in your bio
You can also check out more metrics for a single shoppable post. To do that, go to the post and tap View Insights under the post.

Instagram guides are collections of Instagram posts, products and locations. They’re like a mini-blog that you can use to educate your followers and even inspire them.
Currently, there is no specific metric for the Instagram guides. However, you can examine analytics for Instagram guides by checking the metrics for the original post.
