Le Meridien Munich

Our stay at Le Meridien Munich was all the more pleasurable because of a superb combination of comfort and convenience. We highly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure travelers.

When traveling in Munich, where you stay is everything. You do not want to sacrifice luxury or quality, but at the same time you need a location that is central and convenient. Le Meridien Munich is that place. Nicely positioned and finely appointed, staying here will serve your needs whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.

Convenient to Go Out

The best retail shopping, culturally prominent museums, and attractions that entertain and delight are all within a short distance of the hotel – either on foot, or a couple of stops away via UBahn. This means no lengthy cab rides or frustrating bus routes to navigate if you prefer to take a day and go sight seeing.  Simply walk out of the hotel and down the street to your destination – Old Town is about 500 meters away, and UBahn stations are in the same block.  Your hotel key gives you free admission to the works on display at the prestigious Villa Stuck Museum.  The front desk staff are very helpful when it comes to making suggestions regarding landmarks and other attractions that are close by should you require assistance.  They will also steer you toward a fantastic restaurant that is sure to suit whatever you’re craving.

Comfortable Rooms with Digital Nomad and Business-Friendly Details

Our room was very spacious with comfortable and thoughtful details – waffle robes and matching slippers, separate tub and shower, amazingly luxurious bed, and desk area with enough space to spread out. Internet was lightning fast, and so was room service. We love that Germans are fond of precise and prompt service, and we truly felt pampered during our stay.

Convincing to Stay In

However, you could always choose to stay at the hotel and relax in their luxurious Emotion Spa. It features a large swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna. All of this adds up to a great way to unwind after your long day.  If you need to get motivated before you start your day, make your way to the 24 hour gym on site.  There are many types of equipment that will fit your exercise routine, if that’s your thing.

The hotel offers its own restaurant on site, restaurant La Potager. Five star dining and a great wine offering make this restaurant a standout in its own regard.  It also boasts its own bar, Longitude 11°.  Seal the deal over a cocktail, or share a moment with someone special in an intimate setting that exudes class and style. Both of these provide the type of ambiance and sophistication that you would expect to find in a world class, luxury hotel.

Get Down to Business

For the business traveler, there are a total of nine meeting rooms that can host small parties or meetings containing hundreds of people. All of the rooms are spacious and offer stunning views of the outside world. Wireless Internet access comes standard. Should you need any sort of audiovisual equipment, all you need to do is ask.

If your event requires formal attention, Le Meridien offers its Elysee ballroom for your use. It is located at ground level and features separate access to an enchanting courtyard. This would be perfect for corporate receptions or other formal events.

One of the most interesting perks Le Meridien Munich offers business travelers is the opportunity to keep wardrobe items at the hotel. We thought this was an awesome amenity for frequent visitors, eliminating most of the hassle of repetitive packing, or guarding against arriving only to realize you’ve forgotten something.

Terrific Location

The Munich Hauptbahnhof (main train station) is right across the street from the hotel, which means no worries about hailing a cab or changing to a local train upon arrival. If you’re arriving by air, the Munich airport is easily accessed. This makes sure your trip to Munich is as carefree as it is productive.  Le Meridien is truly a central travel and tourism hub.  You do not want to over look this gem tucked inside the Bavarian capital.  They always offer some sort of package deal or reservation special.  Be sure to choose the booking option that best suits your needs.

Tip: We used Starwood Preferred Guest points during this trip, so our stay at Le Meridien Munich was free. See how we made our visit to Europe with luxury accommodations happen affordably in this post: European Luxury Hotels: A Month of Affordable Stays.

Find an inexpensive flight by using Kayak, a favorite of ours because it regularly returns less expensive flight options from a variety of airlines.

Book Your Hotel or Special Accommodation
We are big fans of Booking.com. We like their review system and photos. If we want to see more reviews and additional booking options, we go to Expedia.

You Need Travel Insurance!
Good travel insurance means having total peace of mind. Travel insurance protects you when your medical insurance often will not and better than what you get from your credit card.
